Lloyd Cenaiko is the founder and president of the Calgary-based charity HART – Humanitarian Aid Response Teams working in Ukraine.
HART brought me to Ukraine in July to observe their work with local churches and affiliated charities in some of Ukraine’s most poverty-stricken areas.
I heard first-hand details of the struggles faced by local churches and charities running orphanages, soup kitches, prison ministries, re-hab centres and other social outreach programs due to lack of financial resources … as well as to obstructionist state bureaucracies and vested interests deliberately hampering their efforts.
We spoke on record in Lviv about some of these challenges and the inspiring stories of determined, visionary Ukrainians to make a better life for themselves and and their families, and in the process built a better, stronger country.
Aired Saturday August 11 (International syndication on PCJ Radio), Sunday August 12 (Vancouver Edition) and Wed. August 22 (Nanaimo Edition).
Please consider sponsoring a child in Ukraine though HART. All 100% of your donation will go to your sponsor child.
By participating in this program you will give a Ukrainian child the gift of hope and a better future. You will ensure that your sponsor child receives:
a Christmas present
a birthday present
a summer vacation at camp
basics like winter boots and school supplies
food staples for the family
Even more important, however, is the gift of knowing that someone cares.
