The long-awaited Hollywod-produced film Holodomor: Ukraine’s Genocide was released in 2012 and is now available on DVD.
The producers, Marta Tomkiw and Bobby Leigh, continue to live and work in Hollywood in the entertainment industry. In November they kindly agreed to come on Nash Holos Ukrainian Roots Radio to talk about the film and the making of it.

About the producers:
Marta Tomkiw is a filmmaker of Ukrainian descent. A Detroit native, she grew up attending Ukrainian schools. She was also a member of PLAST (a Ukrainian girl scout organization) and briefly studied Ukrainian dance.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film, Radio and Television from Wayne State University in Detroit, and studied ilm at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She then went on to work in various capacities in the entertainment industry in the US and Europe, including television, film and video game production and distoribution.
Marta enjoys making films that inspire, uplift, educate and entertain. She is dedicated to excellence and meets challenges head-on.
Since settling in Los Angeles, Marta has produced several independent films. She currently works as Location Manager on Hollywood feature films and television shows.
Bobby Leigh – Director
Bobby Leigh is a twelve-time award winning filmmaker and actor, with over twenty years in the music and entertainment business.
He has produced and/or toured with such well-known performers as Aerosmith, Guns-N-Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kiss, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Quiet Riot, Night Ranger, Skid Row, Joan Jett, The Specials, Social Distortion, The Offspring, and Staind.
As an actor, Bobby landed several roles for television and has served as a producer on several films as well as for three MTV Video Music Awards television shows.
Bobby is currently directing and producing a Reality TV pilot.
